Perfect Baked Beans

When someone says they are having a cookout and they need baked beans, I am the first to say I WILL BRING THEM. This super simple and basic baked bean dish will be a game changer for you and I promise you will never want them any other way again! Serve it for any occasion as a side dish or take to a cookout to share with your friends. Either way I promise whoever you serve it to, will love you for it!

Ingredients

2 cans of Van Camps Pork and Beans
ketchup
ground mustard
brown sugar
bacon

Directions

Prepare bacon (I typically make half of the package). You can make the bacon in a skillet or in a bacon microwaveable dish.

Grab a large baking dish and pour in the cans of Van Camp’s Pork and Beans. Depending on how many people you planning to serve and the size of your dish, I typically use 2-4 small cans.

Next add in ketchup, brown sugar and ground mustard. Again, I eyeball this. Add in what you think looks good, mix around and give it a taste and then adjust to your liking!

After bacon is prepared and cooled off, use a kitchen scissors to cut bacon into small pieces.

Mix all together and place in oven to bake for an hour.

I mean. Can they look any more delicious!?!

  • Dark Chocolate Raspberry Pie Bars

Nothing screams raspberry season like going back to Iowa and picking raspberries with your mom. A family friend has a large patch of raspberries and we were lucky enough to get to go pick and enjoy them while I was home. We picked SO many that there was plenty for me to bring back to North Carolina and enjoy/experiment with. So I figured, this was the perfect opportunity to try some new recipes. I asked you all on Instagram which you would prefer: a breakfast or dessert recipe and of course the results were SO close and after researching recipes, I knew there was NO WAY I could just make one. So I am kicking off the first raspberry recipe of the season with: Dark Chocolate Raspberry Pie Bars. I KNOW. The name says it all! I knew as soon as I saw this recipe, the simple ingredients and how quick and easy it would be to make these, they would be the dessert option I would try! Below you will find the ingredients, recipe and step by step instructions on how to make these.
